"My, my! Look what we got here!" Eusebio fingered the listening bug. "Looks like the mole theory is right!"
"Darn it all! Then whoever than !#%#^&* is will know that we're after him and will take more caution!" Allen growled as he slammed his fist on the table in frustration.
"Wait. There's good news," David examined the bug. "This listening bug is a very old-fashioned model. It records the conversation, stores it in a small tape in this bug, and then is retrieved by its owner. We could hide and see who gets the tape. The person who retrieves the tape is most likely the mole or a person working for the mole. In either case, that person must be captured and..."
"...Executed," Eusebio sighed. "I wish we really don't have to do this. But for the sake of the entire organization and the world, we must."
The foursome discussed their plan of capturing the mole. Eusebio would hide behind the pillar opposite the meeting room and observe, David would guard at the lift lobby, Allen would guard the stairs, Robert would initiate security, and Derrick would clear the area.
Jonathan the janitor was having such a great day! He had just been promised a raise and he was happily sweeping the floor, singing silently to himself. Walking into the meeting room to do his routine cleanup, he was unaware of the watchful eyes watching him from behind the pillar. After he dusted the table, Jonathan noticed the listening bug just right where it originally was. (Eusebio had put it back there.) Jonathan did not know what that listening bug was, so he decided to report it to security.
Leaving the room, Jonathan headed for the security department. Suddenly, he felt the cold muzzle of a Desert Eagle pistol pressed against the back of his head.
"Jonathan! Put the bug down and raise your hands in the air!" Eusebio snarled.
"Eusebio? What is happening?! What is this? Why am I being arrested?" Jonathan was puzzled. He thought that this was a joke from Eusebio. "Is this some sort of joke?"
"Don't pretend to not know anything! Anyway, you are just a suspect. We have yet to verify if you are an enemy," Eusebio snapped handcuffs around Jonathan's hands.
"Suspect! What am I being suspected of?! I'm innocent! I just went in to clean the room and I found this object! I don't even have a clue of what it is!" Jonathan cried, surprised and shocked at the sudden turn of events.
"We have a mole in the INDF. I'm sorry I have to do this, Jonathan," Eusebio sighed sadly.
"Don't worry! I will prove my innocence!" Jonathan smiled.
After the interrogation, Eusebio discussed Jonathan's innocence with the intelligence head, Viktor Reznov.
"How were the results?"
"Well, our tests prove that Jonathan may not be the mole," Reznov stated, "He passed the lie-detector test, he doesn't even know what a listening bug is, he passed the truth serum test, and CCTV records show that he did not look around or go straight for the bug. Normally, moles make sure that no one is around them before quickly recovering the bug. Jonathan did not do any of these. I vouch for the fact that Jonathan is innocent."
"Hhhmmmm. Seems plausible. Jonathan has been with us even before the AF was formed," Eusebio thought aloud, "He has stayed here on Demarque for the whole time. I doubt that the AF could even corrupt him here."

"So Jonathan's innocent?" Robert sat back in his chair as Eusebio entered the office.
"Yep! Thankfully so. I was shocked," Eusebio took his seat, "What's up? Another mission?"
"You're a mind reader, Eusebio! Haha! No wonder you're so good. Yes. We have successfully traced the missing explosives to an abandoned warehouse in a suburb of Paris. You, David, and Allen will be sent there to destroy those explosives again before they are sent to the AF."
"Got it."

Jean Alban was the head of AF operations at the abandoned warehouse. Barking orders at the workers and carrying a Steyr AUG assault rifle, he was not one to be disobeyed.
Alban's phone rang.
"Hello?" Alban said in his low, rough voice.
"Hello Alban, my friend! I have some information for you. The INDF will be sending a strike team of three to destroy your explosives. They will be coming from the northern wall. Get your defences ready. Show no mercy."
"Yes, Durango."
Excellent story, Ian! Can't wait to read the next chapter :)
